Nikon has gone back to the drawing board with a clear goal: to create a stereo microscope for the 21st Century - one with superior optical performance, reliability and a wide range of accessories. They created the SMZ1500. It has a high zoom ratio of 15x. Various high quality Apo lenses are available and a built-in iris diaphragm allows for better depth of field. The diascopic bases have a new ergonomic fine focus knob located at the front of the microscope, so your thumb can focus, while your hands move the item under the microscope.

Nikon's clarity is unsurpassed with the SMZ1500, and Flourescence and OCC illumination are 2 examples of high quality imaging which can be achieved with this microscope. A range of Episcopic and Diascopic lighting is available, along with different stand configurations to suit your research needs.
